Habit: Colorless, white, yellow, green, blue or purple. Occurs as concretionary aggregates or fine-grained granular masses; small bladed crystals rare. Vitreous to resinous luster; transparent to translucent. White streak.


Environment: Forms in ultrabasic serpenitized rocks.


Etymology: From the locality where it was first discovered, Suolun, Mongolia.
