Habit: Green, blue, colorless, grey or white. Pseudo-cubic crystals. Adamantine to vitreous luster; transparent to translucent. White streak.
Environment: Found in evaporite deposits, usually associated with gypsum, anhydrite and/or halite.
Etymology: From the boron in its composition.
