Habit: Orange red to brown. Crystals rare; typically massive or filling veinlets. Vitreous luster; transparent to translucent. White streak.


Environment: Occurs only in a nepheline syenite and associated with an intrusive alkalic gabbro-syenite complex.


Etymology: Named after Guy Remond (b. 1935), a French mineral physicist.
