Habit: Fibrous or columnar masses, often radiated colorless to white or gray, often tinged with pink or other colors. Pearly to silky Luster on Cleavages, resinous to Adamantine Luster across Fractures; translucent, rarely transparent.
Environment: In nodules in manganese oxide ores.
